The grand ballroom at TillingHouse set for a wedding reception with round tables and arched windows

Some years ask to be marked. A fortieth, a fiftieth, a sweet sixteen, a golden anniversary. TillingHouse was built for those evenings. A place where the room, the light, and the first pour all say that tonight is different.

We host one celebration at a time and give it the whole of our attention. You arrive to a space arranged for your guests, your menu, and the moment you have been picturing. All you carry through the door is the occasion itself.

A milestone can be a quiet dinner or a grand affair. TillingHouse holds both under one roof, so the room fits the celebration rather than the other way around.

  • The Byron Nelson Room, up to 75 guests, with cathedral ceilings, a private bar, and golf-course views for an intimate birthday or family celebration.
  • The Parlor, gathered around a one-of-a-kind 1926 fireplace, for an elegant private dinner or cocktail reception.
  • The Parlor Bar, opening onto a private terrace overlooking the Suneagles golf course, for the first hour of the evening.
  • The Ballroom, up to 500 guests, with its 52-foot marble-top bar and a garden terrace with two built-in bars, a stone wall, and a wishing well, for the celebration you want everyone to remember.

The food is the difference. TillingHouse is led by Chef Ryan DePersio, one of New Jersey's most respected chef-restaurateurs, known for Battello in Jersey City and Fascino before it. Executive Chef Dennis Mathews runs the kitchen day to day.

Every plate is prepared in-house. Your menu never leaves the building, and neither does responsibility for it. We shape the menu around your celebration, from a seated dinner to passed hors d'oeuvres and a station-filled reception, and pour it from a private bar built for the room.

A milestone deserves the moments on either side of it. Our Bridal Suite doubles as a private getting-ready space, with an on-site hair and makeup salon, three salon chairs, a separate station, and two baths. The Family Suite gives your closest people a room of their own.

And when the guests want to linger, the Game Room waits with billiards, shuffleboard, and barber-shop service. The evening keeps its own pace here.

Our 2027 season is open, and the dates couples and hosts want most tend to go first. If a particular weekend matters to your celebration, the surest way to hold it is to see the rooms and start the conversation early. Tell us the date you have in mind and we will tell you what is possible.

Before You Ask

How much does a birthday celebration cost at TillingHouse?

Every celebration is priced to its own guest count, menu, and season, so there is no single number that would be honest for yours. The best way to understand pricing is to tell us the date, the headcount, and the kind of evening you have in mind. We will walk you through what is included and what to expect. Schedule a tour and we will build it around your celebration.

Can I still get a 2027 date?

Yes. Our 2027 season is open and we are booking it now. The most-requested weekends tend to be reserved earliest, so if a specific date matters to you, the surest path is to see the rooms and begin the conversation. Tell us the date you are hoping for and we will tell you whether it is available.

How many guests can you hold?

From an intimate seventy-five to a grand five hundred. The Byron Nelson Room seats up to 75 for a close celebration, and the Ballroom holds up to 500 for a milestone you want the whole family and every friend to share. The Parlor and Parlor Bar sit between for private dinners and cocktail hours.

Do you handle the food, or do I bring a caterer?

We handle all of it. TillingHouse is fully in-house, with menus prepared in our own kitchen under Chef Ryan DePersio and Executive Chef Dennis Mathews. There are no outside caterers to hire or coordinate. One team plans and serves the entire evening, from the first passed bite to the cake.

What is included with the room?

Your celebration comes with the space itself, in-house culinary and a private bar, and a team that plans and runs the evening with you. Depending on the room, that can include a private bar, terrace access, and getting-ready space in our Bridal and Family Suites. We will detail exactly what your date includes during your tour.

Is TillingHouse a good fit for a sweet sixteen or an anniversary?

Very much so. The same rooms that host fortieth and fiftieth birthdays host sweet sixteens, quinceañeras, and golden anniversaries beautifully. We scale the space, the menu, and the tone to suit the guest of honor, whether that is a lively room for teenagers or a refined dinner for a couple marking fifty years.
