The Two River towns entertain at home more than most of New Jersey, and for good reason. But a wedding for two or three hundred asks more of a property than even a fine one gives: a commercial kitchen, a room with real ceiling height, parking for everyone, and a staff that has done it a thousand times.
TillingHouse answers all of it without losing the private-estate feel. The venue sits inside the historic Suneagles Golf Club grounds in Eatontown: fairways instead of neighbors, garden terraces instead of a rented tent, and rooms that were built formal rather than dressed up for the night.
The Parlor centers on a one-of-a-kind 1926 fireplace; the Byron Nelson Room carries the name of golf's gentleman champion; the Ballroom seats five hundred under chandeliers with a 52-foot marble-top bar. Nothing here is generic.

Everything served here is made here. The culinary program is led by Chef Ryan DePersio, the chef-restaurateur behind Battello and Fascino, with Executive Chef Dennis Mathews leading the line.
Menus are composed in conversation, tastings happen in the building, and the kitchen that wins you over is the one that cooks the wedding.
From Rumson, Fair Haven, and Sea Bright, the drive runs through Red Bank and down Route 35, about twenty minutes door to door. Guests park on the grounds and walk straight in.
The morning belongs to the Bridal Suite and its on-site salon; the evening ends with a short, easy ride home.

How long is the drive from Rumson?
About twenty minutes. Most guests come west along Rumson Road or River Road toward Red Bank, then take Route 35 south into Eatontown. The venue is at 2000 Lowther Drive on the Suneagles Golf Club grounds.
We're considering a tented wedding at home. Why a venue instead?
A tent borrows your property; a venue brings its own. Here the kitchen is commercial and in-house, the rooms are formal year-round, parking absorbs the full guest list, and weather never rewrites the evening. You are a host again, not a general contractor.
Can you do a smaller, formal dinner rather than a large reception?
Beautifully. The Parlor, anchored by its 1926 fireplace, is made for intimate ceremonies and seated dinners, and the Byron Nelson Room hosts up to 75 for larger family occasions.
Who prepares the food?
Our own kitchen, led by Chef Ryan DePersio of Battello and Fascino, with Executive Chef Dennis Mathews running service. No outside caterers are involved at any point.
